Understanding hotspotsHot spots give us a huge piece of evidence that the plates move. HERE's a short article explaining mantle convection cells. HERE's the lab we worked on in class to understand how they work and what information they can give us! Read the article and do the worksheet if you missed class and would like to receive point for that!

HERE's a zipped file with all those that you can choose two from if you missed class and want to make it up. To unzip the folder, click the link "here" and then open the file right click the folder and select extract all or simply drag and drop the folder onto your desktop. Seafloor ExploringThese days groups worked together to determine what is inside the taped up box. I poked holes in the top and using the materials given, groups represented what they figured was inside from their data collection.
